About the event
About the Event Duel in the Desert 2026 is a high-energy dance and cheer competition hosted by Wight Noise Dance Company, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to empowering performers and uplifting communities. Held on February 7th at Dysart High School, this one-of-a-kind event blends artistry and athleticism with purpose. As part of our “Cheer for Charity” initiative, a percentage of registration fees will be donated to the charity represented by the team with the most inspirational performance. Plus, the team with the highest combined score will receive a percentage of ticket sales. With no extra fees—just one flat rate per competitor regardless of how many routines they perform—this is a celebration of talent, teamwork, and giving back.
