It has always been my goal to build life-long lovers of dance. Whether you have years of experience or are just starting out, WNDC welcomes you to begin or continue your journey with us. Our hope is that you find a love and joy of dance that will carry you throughout your whole life. Dance is one of the most AMAZING ways to strengthen your body, spirit and mind and no matter what your age, the overall well-being dance provides will add years and quality to your life!

Rachel Wight
Rachel received a BFA in Dance from California State University Long Beach in 1991. She is a former principle dancer with Nannette Brodie Dance. After working as interim Professor of Dance at Golden West College in Huntington Beach California, she re-located to Arizona where she taught in the public school setting for 28 years. Rachel is deeply immersed in the Arizona dance community having taught in the Maricopa Community College system and several high schools throughout the Valley of the Sun. she continues to serve on many dance and arts related committees including, Arizona Assessment in Dance Education committee, Dance Alliance, Artist in Residence and the Peoria Unified School District Arts Festival Committee.
Rachel has helped to create high level dance performance companies at all educational institutions previously taught at and continues to strive to raise the level of dance and arts education in the community. Rachel is a recipient of the Golden West College Alumni Pillar of Honor award, Pride of Peoria and the Kathy Lindholm Lane Award for Excellence in Education.

Our Staff is made up of highly qualified dance educators who have over 35 years of combined teaching experience among them. Most Staff members possess their Bachelors of Arts in Dance Education and Performance and are thoroughly excited to share their wealth of knowledge with you and your child.
